Day 2 - January 31 2012

Our trip to Fresno would not be complete without waking up and having a hearty breakfast from our college hot spot Jus Joes. Sam, Josh and I were joined at Jus Joe’s by Victoria (my old roommate), Nicole, Alyssa, and Donald (Alyssa’s boyfriend). After saying our final goodbyes it was in the car and off for a short tour around our old stomping grounds Fresno State. Driving through campus brought back many memories for both Sam and I. We recalled fighting for a parking spot in what all the Aggies deemed the “ag lot”, going to the Farm Market for some delicious ice cream, and many sorority activities in O’Neill Park. The trip down memory lane didn’t last long because it was back on the road we needed to go to make the 6 hour drive to fabulous Las Vegas! The drive to Vegas was filled with many stories, Ace of Base sing-alongs (poor Josh), and many miles of nothing but the Mojave Desert. The anticipation of what the next few days held for us really started to hit its high point when came down the hill on Highway 15 and saw all the bright lights of Las Vegas shinning in all their glory, and next stop Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino.

We were met at Imperial Palace by my long time high school friend Breanna, who was ready to celebrate our upcoming adventure just as much as we were. We began our first evening in Vegas with none other than a good ol’ shot, and we didn’t stop after one. After a bit of catching up with Breanna we took our celebrating onto the streets of Las Vegas Blvd.
